Pam joined FirstLantic Healthcare in June 2004 to establish the Medicare Certified Home Care Division. She brings 25 years of nursing and management experience to FirstLantic Healthcare. During her career as a "Traveling Nurse" she enjoyed assignments in Florida, Louisiana, Hawaii, and Virginia. Her clinical expertise is a focus in cardiac care and she held multiple educational and management positions. After 12 years of hospital experience, she transferred her extensive knowledge to the home care arena.
Prior to joining the FirstLantic Healthcare team, Pam was Director of Clinical Services for Gold Coast Home Health. Throughout her career, Pam has been recognized for her clinical and management skills. Her latest accomplishment was the 2003 Advance for Nursing Magazine "Best Nursing Team Award" for the state of Florida and the "Lisa Phillips Award" presented by the North Broward Hospital District for outstanding management skills. Pam is known for her quality in patient care, excellent customer service, and commitment to education and learning. Her sense of humor brings warmth to all around her.
FirstLantic Healthcare received Medicare Licensure for Broward County in August 2004 and Palm Beach County in November 2004 with deficiency free surveys thanks to Pam's efforts.
Pam attended Russell Sage College where she earned her Bachelor of Science Nursing. She has served on the North Broward Hospital District Nurse Practice Council and the Management Advisory Council.
Amy Bloom, LCSW, Director of Professional Services
After moving to Florida from New Jersey, Amy joined FirstLantic Healthcare in March 2004. Amy is responsible for management, operations and business development for the Professional Care Management Division of Firstlantic.
Amy began her career in geriatrics working as the Senior Adult Director of a Jewish Community Center, then went on to become the Director of Social Services of a long term and sub acute care facility.
Amy founded and operated two professional care management companies over the course of ten years then sold to larger organizations.
Amy has a long history of public speaking to community and professional organizations in the fields of geriatrics, case management, and marketing.
Amy attended Simmons College, Boston where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. She then obtained her Master of Social Work, and Master of Science in Healthcare Administration from New York University. Amy also has a Post Graduate Certificate in Gerontology from Rutgers, the State University in New Jersey. Amy lives in Palm Beach County.
Bill Cranston, Director of Administration
FirstLantic is dedicated to continuous improvement of our systems, processes and procedures. Bill’s role at FirstLantic includes efficient management of critical data, which requires acute focus on process, systems and internal operations.
For over 24 years, Bill held leadership and management positions of increasing responsibilities at IBM and RadiSys Corporations. He has extensive experience in operations management, organizational development and human capital development. Bill has led and managed multidisciplinary teams with focus on systems development, process improvement, and cost/benefit analysis geared towards augmenting team and company efficiency.
Bill holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Mississippi State University. He lives in Boca Raton with his wife and two children.
Nancy Manfready, LPN, Director of Private Services
Nancy has been in the healthcare field for over 20 years. She joins FirstLantic as the Director of Private Services which includes managing the Home Healthcare Agency, Nursing Registry and Developmental Disabilities Medicaid Waiver Program in both Broward and Palm Beach counties. Nancy also oversees FirstLantic’s Human Resource department.
Prior to joining the FirstLantic team, Nancy worked for Kemper/Aetna for 11 years in the short and long term disabilities arena. As a supervisor and then manager of the administration of short and long term disability plans for multiple National accounts. She was not only a liaison between the providers, clients and patients, but managed teams of up to 60 employees too. In her years with Kemper/Aetna she also served in the role as Senior Auditor/Trainer in which she coordinated all internal, external and independent audits and trained all new employees along with ongoing updates and in-services for employees.
Nancy brings more than 20 years of management experience to FirstLantic. Nancy worked at Interim Healthcare, Inc. as a Project Director, assuming all administrative duties of two county based projects; Community Care for the Elderly and Community Care for the Disabled. Nancy’s clinical experience consists of twelve years of general surgery and medical nursing in the hospital and rehab nursing with the Veterans’ Administration.
Nancy is a graduate of Smithville Adult Nursing School in Ohio. She lives with her husband, daughter and son along with her dog, "Shelby".
Chris Ebell
Chris is an OT/L (occupational therapist/licensed) in the State of Florida and specializes in assessment and treatment of persons with dementia. Chris has been practicing for over 20 years.
At FirstLantic Healthcare, Chris provides occupational therapy services in the home care division. In addition, she provides corporate training to internal and field staff regarding the care of persons with dementia and their families.
For the past 9 years Chris has been a consultant and national speaker for Dementia Care Specialists. She has provided over 70 2-day workshops for healthcare professionals on therapeutic interventions for persons with dementia. She also provides education and training for persons in the community and staff members of assisted living facilities, skilled nursing facilities, and adult day care centers.
Chris has a strong background in working with persons with psychiatric illnesses. She began her career working in inpatient psychiatric hospitals and continued to use these skills in home health and as a Care Manager for FirstLantic Healthcare.
Chris received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Dayton, Dayton Ohio and a Bachelor of Science from Chicago State University, Chicago Illinois. Chris is only one of 50 people world wide who earned the title of Allen Authorized Instructor. She was taught by Claudia Allen who founded the Allen Cognitive Levels. These levels are internationally recognized functional assessment scales that describe cognitive deficits and remaining abilities. Chris has been on the faculty of the Occupational Therapy Programs for Rush University and Governor’s State University, both in Illinois.
Ruthana Gullet, RN, Director of Nursing
As a Registered Nurse, Ruthana has many years in clinical nursing and nursing management. Ruthana manages all operations for the Palm Beach County Medicare Certified Home Health Care Division of FirstLantic Healthcare.
With over 14 years experience in Medicare Certified Home Health Care companies, Ruthana has been a Field Nurse, Case Manager and Director of Nursing. She was also Director of Nursing at a 155 bed assisted living facility that included a rehabilitation unit and secured Alzheimer’s unit. Her experience with government regulations is evident in the fact that she cleared over two dozen federal and state tags.
Ruthana embarked on her profession in healthcare as a Certified Nursing Assistant, and then became a Licensed Practical Nurse. She loved nursing so much, that after raising two children, she went back to school and became a Registered Nurse. Ruthana began her clinical career in a hospital environment as a nurse in orthopedics, surgery, trauma/emergency room, dialysis and oncolology.
Ruthana’s passion for her patients is exhibited through her strong advocacy for them.
Ruthana received her LPN at University of Indiana and her RN licensure from New York Regents Program. She lives in Palm Beach County with her American Eskimo Boo.
