FirstLantic Healthcare provides home care services through our state licensed Home Health Agency and Certified Nursing Registry in Broward and Palm Beach Counties, Florida.

At our Agency, all of our home care staff are licensed, insured and bonded. They are employees of our company that means they are covered under Worker's Compensation and Professional Liability (malpractice insurance). Our insurance affords you peace of mind knowing that the client is protected from liability.

In our Nursing Registry, our home care staff are independent contractors, they are not employees of our company. As a result, they are not covered under our insurance policies and are not mandated to carry their own insurance. It costs less for FirstLantic to have independent contractors and therefore the cost savings is passed on to our clients.

At FirstLantic Healthcare, all of our independent contractors and employees go through the same vigorous hiring process, which includes, but is not limited to a background check, verbal interviews and written exams.

FirstLantic Healthcare provides the following care:

At FirstLantic Healthcare, all companions, HHAs and CNAs are supervised by RNs.

FirstLantic Healthcare provides live-in or hourly care in:

• Your home
• Residential care facility
• Assisted living facility
• Nursing home
• Hospital

Our home care staff also travels with you if you are going on vacation or returning to your second home.

FirstLantic Healthcare accepts the following as payment for home care services:

• Long Term Care Insurance
• Worker's Compensation
• Private Pay (credit card or check)
• Developmental Disabilities Medicaid Waiver
• Specific Medicaid Programs

At FirsLantic Healthcare, our home care staff keeps your physician informed of your progress and status on a regular basis. We believe in team work and a multidisciplinary approach to care.

Can I interview the caregiver before I hire her/him? FirstLantic allows our clients to interview our caregivers before services are provided. FirstLantic is responsible for carefully screening, hiring and managing our caregivers. If a client wants a different caregiver for any reason, FirstLantic will furnish another person.
